Dear Valued Customer,

Charles River is closely monitoring the status of the Coronavirus and will continue to provide timely updates as they are available. This is a sensitive global situation and we are concerned for the well-being of our factory partner’s employees, their families and all others across the world impacted by the Coronavirus.

Here is the latest update we have available:

  • Our inventory levels remain strong in both current and new styles to support your immediate product needs.
  • Our factory partners are starting to return but still not operating at full capacity. We plan in advance for the February annual New Year holiday in China with inventory both in process and in transit to Charles River.  
  • Although we have not experienced any significant delays in our supply chain, we will continue to monitor changes to the supply chain including factory capacity, material availability and transportation (both ocean and air).
  • We are closely monitoring the spread of the Coronavirus across the globe including the USA with the potential impact on the people, travel and the economy, which is still uncertain.

The situation continues to evolve with many areas we are unable to control. The primary focus of our team will be on areas below where we can have an impact to manage and minimize any disruption.

  • We will continue to work with our factory partners outside of China, where the majority of our apparel is currently sourced. Although China is still an important country for materials and apparel, it represents a much smaller percentage of our overall apparel sourcing.
  • We will continue to communicate with our global factories in China and in other countries and send you timely updates with any significant changes that may impact our business.

Our team is working hard to monitor and react to changes as they occur. We do expect there will continue to be some level of disruption, however our strong inventory and reduced dependence on China production should help us in the short term to better manage this situation.
